Steve Tamburelli

After obtaining his MBA, Steve moved into the family business on a full-time basis and within three years assumed the title of general manager. It was here that he was able to hone his business skills and to see the industry from the distributor’s perspective – a lesson that would serve him well in the future.

In 1991, he purchased the business from his family and operated it successfully for 8 years. He sold the business in 1998 and moved to the winery side of the industry. He assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer at Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars and is currently the General Manager at Chappellet Winery. Steve is extremely knowledgeable in the areas of winery and vineyard business operations in addition to wine industry sales and marketing.

He graduated with honors from the University of San Francisco and obtained his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Santa Clara.

Steve, his wife Lynne and son Bill reside in Napa.
