Executive Chef – Viejas Casino
As the Executive Chef of Viejas Casino, Chef Gary Thompson actively manages all aspects of kitchen operations for the casino’s five award-winning restaurants. As busy as he is, he still takes time to appreciate his humble beginnings in the kitchen as a dishwasher in a local steakhouse. He recalls his first experience cooking in the kitchen, as a rush, one that only comes from the fast pace and high pressure of being on the line. From that point on, Chef Thompson was hooked. Since then, his path has led through many different experiences which have developed and refined his culinary and kitchen operational skills.
Chef Thompson’s adventure has afforded him time at Local Bar & Grill, Grantville Landing, San Diego Hotel, Marina Inn & Yacht Club, Hyatt Hotels, Elario’s at Summerhouse Inn, Paragon Steak house chain, and most recently at Viejas Casino.
